Stop performing.

Start resonating.

The Resonant Actor is a coaching studio for actors who want to move beyond performing a role and begin thinking as the character.

Resonance begins when the actor stops acting and starts living inside the character’s mind. Instead of focusing on how a line should sound or what emotion to ‘show,’ actors learn to build the character’s inner life so clearly that the performance emerges naturally.

In resonant acting, the actor becomes only vaguely aware of themselves while the character’s thoughts drive the moment. When the character’s thinking is active, the performance becomes spontaneous.

The result is acting that feels natural, truthful, and alive on camera and on stage.

Training for film, television, theater, and musical theatre.

Why me?

I started in this industry as a child actor.

I grew up in it—learning early what it meant to try to “get it right,” to be good, to be believable.

And over time, I saw that same struggle everywhere—
as a casting assistant, a talent agent assistant and professional acting teacher.

I’ve spent 48 years in this business.

And what I’ve come to understand is this:

The problem isn’t emotion.
It’s not talent.

It’s thinking.

That’s what I teach here.

“Move your brain to the side and let the character do the thinking.”

“Resonance happens when the actor stops performing and starts thinking as the character.”

“The actor provides the instrument — the body and voice. The character provides the mind.”
